Due to “WORK”, I sometimes don’t have time to talk to friends or focus on self-care. Working hard is not the same as overworking to the detriment of one’s relationships or health. The reason for this overwork is the stress we face every day at work. Stress makes us exhausted, overwhelmed, and anxious. So, basically, not talking to friends, or not taking care of ourselves is stress.

Everyone who has ever worked has felt the effects of workplace stress. Even a job you adore can be difficult. You may be under time pressure to make a deadline or finish a challenging activity. On the other hand, chronic workplace stress can be overwhelming and harmful to both physical and mental health.

Main sources of stress: low pay and overburdening workloads, there are few prospects for promotion or growth, work that isn’t interesting or challenging, insufficient social support, having insufficient control over work-related decisions, demands that are in conflict, or ambiguous performance expectations.

Resolutions to cope with 7 stress: Trace your stressors, understand your role, avoid conflict, avoid multitasking, make sure to have a good sleep and meal, try to cool down quickly, and first things first.

Being a high achiever can boost your self-esteem and help you succeed at work, but being a perfectionist might backfire. Don’t be a perfectionist! balance between perfection and timelines. You can also listen to music. This has several benefits and can help relieve stress before, during, and after work. Listening to uplifting music while making breakfast can make you feel more prepared to interact with others. Remember, stress causes issues, and you are the one who produces or chooses to be stressed!
